July 24-25 is the date to remember as the Virtual Assistant Technologies, Inc. will invade the Sol y Mar Resort. Sol y Mar is a beach resort in Tigbauan, on the National Highway, about 20 KM west of Iloilo City. You can get there via a Tigbauan, Guimbal or Miagao jeepney or by taxi. Haven’t heard this before? (pareho ta) Let’s have a short review about this place. (BTW I would like to thank my sources for the info. FYI I haven’t gone there so I just got some descriptive analysis about the place:

It’s certainly one of the best options for those who wanted stay at a real beach resort, one good enough for swimming but still close to the urban amenities of Iloilo City. It’s also a good option for those in Iloilo City who want to get away to the beach. You can come and use the beach for a P30 per person (P20 for children). You can rent a very nice picnic shelter for the day for P300 or you can rent an air con cottage for P1400 to P1500. The cottages are nicely designed and the entire resort quite meticulously maintained. The restaurant is open from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. ~ tigbauan-iloilo.com

Sol y Mar is free from noise of the passing vehicles with an aura of exclusivity and security. They can cater to varied type of vacationist. They have cozy rooms at reasonable prices but expect the best out of it with unique type of beds especially made to suit a perfect ambience to relax in. Each room is in-housed in a small bungalow type cottage made of rustic native bamboo and wood that made it even more relaxing. The terrace just outside the room have several bean bags and a native bamboo center table perfect for a coffee, tea and even a bottle of beer to keep a conversation which is also best for a romantic candle lighted dinner. The serene haven is surrounded by the trees that keep the place cool and brings the feel of a real vacation. ~ gigsilonggo.com
